When Premium will not restore

First check the Apple Account used for App Store purchases, not just your iCloud address. On the iPhone or iPad, open Settings → your name → Media & Purchases and make sure it is the same account that originally bought Premium.

1. Check the Apple Account

The account used for iCloud and the account used for App Store purchases can be different. On a new iPhone or iPad, open Settings → your name → Media & Purchases and confirm that it matches the account used for the original purchase.

2. Restore inside the app

  1. Update the app to the latest version
  2. Quit the app completely and open it again
  3. Open Settings in the app → Purchase → About Premium
  4. Run Restore Purchase
  5. If that does not work, run Receipt Validation as well

In particular, some older one-time iDig Premium purchases may not come back through Restore Purchase because of the product type, but can be recognized through Receipt Validation.

3. If the app says you do not appear to have purchased Premium

If another device using the same Apple Account is still Premium, but the new device says you do not appear to have purchased it, the problem may be more than a simple account mismatch. Do not keep repeating purchase attempts. Please send the following through the contact form.

If “Email a bug or request” cannot send

If the app says the message cannot be sent, use the contact form instead. Screenshots can be attached there.

This is separate from saved videos and images

Premium status and the videos or images stored in the app are separate. Restoring a purchase does not restore local files. If files are also missing after changing phones, see Moving data to a new iPhone.
