Ads opening the SHEIN site on their own
Some people have told me that Safari opens the SHEIN site by itself while they're using the app, without tapping anything. Sorry for the trouble and worry.
Why it happens
Some of the ads shown in the app are made to open their link without being tapped. The app itself isn't opening the site.
If it happens
- Don't enter anything on the page that opened (login, address, card details).
- Close the Safari tab and go back to the app with "◀︎" at the top left, or from the Home Screen.
- There's no need to delete the app (deleting it may also delete what you've saved).
What I've done
I've set the ad service to stop showing these ads (on September 30, with more added on October 4). It can take time to take effect, and similar ads may appear through other routes, so I'm keeping an eye on it.

Why app ads send you to SHEIN on their own
If it happens again, please send me roughly when it happened and the address of the page that opened (or a screenshot) from Settings → About this app → Email a bug or request. That's the best clue for finding and blocking the ad.
